Veterans Advantage has partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) a 501c3 organization helping veterans severely wounded since 9/11 and Give an Hour (www.giveanhour.org) another 501c3 to help address the special health needs of active duty suffering from PTS. In the spirit of these partnerships, we have created the PTS Resource Center, an area devoted to highlighting the health issues associated with PTS (post-traumatic stress) and TBI (traumatic brain injury).
AWARENESS AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS
Through our member newsletter and website, we also raise awareness of public and private sector program supporting those who serve, veterans, and their families, such as The National Resource Directory.
In our own PTS Resource Center, Veterans Advantage features articles, information and news from a multitude of mental health professionals and ressources who treat our military and veterans who are dealing with PTS. We seek to keep you informed about this significant public health issue, and direct those active duty soldiers, military veterans, and their families, who are in need, to the appropriate resources.
